Tax Deadline Extended
The deadline to file your taxes has been extended until June 1st.
Canada’s 6 major banks (BMO, CIBC, National Bank, RBC, TD, and Scotia Bank) are all offering 6 month mortgage deferrals. Talk to your bank about this even if they aren’t listed above.
Renters should be aware that in the province of Ontario has put a freeze on all evictions.
The one week waiting period of Employment Insurance (EI) has been waived. You need to apply on-line. https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/corporate/notices/coronavirus.html
